About Javiera Tudela, owner of The Standard

Javiera Tudela is a 3rd Generation Classical Pilates Instructor, comprehensively trained through the renowned Romana Kryzanowska lineage (Real Pilates Teacher Training - Alycea Ungaro). She also holds contemporary/classical certifications from Houston’s Pure Body Teacher Training (Balance Body - Heather Ermann) and specializations from Miami’s Pilates Summit (Peak).

Originally from Venezuela, with Chilean and Spanish roots, Javiera moved to Houston in 2015 with her husband, two children, and their cat, after a successful 14-year career as an executive in the payment industry in Miami. By 2017, she followed her passion for Pilates, leaving the corporate world to share her expertise and love for the practice.

Fluent in Spanish, French, and Portuguese, Javiera enjoys working with a wide range of students, customizing each session to meet their individual needs. Her background in Classical Ballet, from the prestigious Teatro Teresa Carreño in Caracas, adds structure and discipline to her sessions, but it’s her creativity and problem-solving skills that make her teaching style both demanding and fun

What sets The Standard apart?

After more than 1500 hours of training and almost 8 years teaching continuously at some of the best boutique studios in Houston, Javiera realized it was time for her to make her own vision a reality.

Javiera knew she wanted to focus on privates and duets but wanted to do so creatively. Driven by a desire for freedom and flexibility—freedom to teach as she envisioned it and flexibility to cater to her students’ busy schedules.

Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from custom-made classical equipment to a calming color palette. While respecting Joseph Pilates’ legacy, Javiera offers personalized modifications and variations that suit the individual, creating truly tailored sessions in a soothing, curated atmosphere.
